Genesis 3 is often seen as the chapter where everything went wrong. And yet, the curse placed on humanity was not meant to annihilate God’s plan — it was meant to slow the spread of sin.

In this episode, Fresh Ground Theology walked through the details: pain in childbirth, toil in labor, death, and relational strife. But rather than being purely punitive, these were protective restraints, introduced by a God who was already preparing a way forward. Even in exile, God hinted at a promise — the seed of the woman would crush the serpent’s head.

The takeaway? God never abandoned the blessing. He simply imposed boundaries to keep us from self-destruction.

This topic will be further discussed in next Tuesday’s release of the Fresh Ground Theology podcast. Listen on YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts.
