Coffee House Symposium: Interview with Matt Bohin

In this episode, I talk to Matt Bohin. He wrote the paper on Jonathan Edwards’s book Religious Affections which I presented on this show about a month ago. In the show, I ask a little bit about his background and then he walks us through his paper. Among other questions, he answers a nagging question: Christ said that love is a sure sign that a person is his disciple; yet, Jonathan Edwards said that it was not a sure sign. How did Edwards explain this contradiction?

Editor’s Note: I apologize for some of the sound issue in this recording. There are some background noises that come in and some persistent squeaking chairs.
