My Favorite Podcasts

I’m an avid podcast listener. And over the years I’ve found several that have been very helpful. This list is in no particular order.

1. The Ancient World. This is an awesome podcast that covers things from the ancient world. Essentially, the ancient near east before 500BC. It’s a non-technical podcast and it simply gives an overview of the political and military struggles of the ANE. Also helpful is his series on the discovery of the ANE.

2. Cold Case Christianity. This podcast is about apologetics with an evidential approach. His main contribution is his argument for the eyewitness nature of the Gospels.

3. The Argument Ninja. This podcast combines the art of persuasion with critical thinking skills. His unique approach has helped me to become better at critical thinking.

4. OT 500: The Writing as an Introduction to the Old Testament. This is a very helpful introduction class to the poetical books of the OT. It’s taught by Fuller and gives you the current state of scholarship on those books.

5. Myths and Legends. This podcast is a modern narration of many ancient tales and myths. For OT guys, he has a few podcasts on the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Egyptian creation myth, and lots of Greek myths too.
